JUST IN: IRELAND, FRANCE, AND MALTA ISSUE WARNINGS AGAINST "LUCKY ME" BRAND


 JUST IN: The governments of Ireland, France and Malta have issued health safety warnings, telling their constituents not to consume popular Filipino instant noodles brand "Lucky Me" due to "high level of ethylene oxide." Ethylene oxide is a hazardous chemical commonly used to manufacture pesticides and disinfectants. INQUIRER.net has reached out to the manufacturer and owner of the brand for their comments as of this posting. UPDATE [2:36 p.m.]: "Lucky Me" maker Monde Nissin Corp. clarifies ethylene oxide is not added to products but is used in the treatment of some raw materials in noodle seasonings, adds this may "still show traces" of the substance.
